The country’s largest biopharmaceutical company’s net profits before exceptional items grew by 11% to Rs 188 crore in the quarter, it reported on Thursday night.
In the spot market, highest purity gold was sold at Rs 47,469 per 10 gram while silver was priced at Rs 65,000 per kg on Thursday, according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.
The strong showing in July-September was primarily on account of higher income and revenues. In the second quarter of the previous financial year, the company had reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,595 crore.
