Global index provider FTSE Russell, which placed Indian bonds on the watchlist for possible inclusion in its debt index, is set to announce the result of its review September 30.

Markets are likely to turn volatile from now on. Possible tapering timeline from the Fed this week, rising bond yields in the US, strengthening dollar and news of crisis in the large Chinese real estate developer Evergrande are likely to weigh on markets, said an analyst.

The market capitalisation of Indian listed companies has risen by over Rs 100 lakh crore in this period as money printing by global central banks, strong rebound in corporate earnings and a flood of retail investors aided risk sentiment.
