In the last week, the U.S. Federal Reserve signaled it will start paring its massive bond-buying as soon as November and the Bank of England hinted for the first time that it may raise interest rates this year. Norway became the first developed economy to hike and borrowing costs were also increased in Brazil, Paraguay, Hungary and Pakistan.

The opening up of NFTs as another digital asset class is an amazing development. On one hand, it is unlocking economic assets and their uses, and on the other hand, it is enabling access to such assets that otherwise had a price barrier to affordability.

There is not much economic data that will be released during the week but the market may be volatile due to monthly expiry. The IPO mart will also keep buzzing. Auto sales data and FII flows will also be on the radar.

"While we welcome and appreciate the new EV policies being introduced by state governments to strengthen the demand for EVs, via attractive subsidy and incentive schemes, there are bigger challenges related to investments. We are contemplating on factors like pricing, performance, and infrastructure before we roll out any products for the Indian market," Yamaha Motor India Chairman Motofumi Shitara told PTI.

As of now, savvy Indian investors are infatuated with newly listed Freshworks Inc, which by their own admission made over 500 employees crorepatis. The stock has seen a significant increase in interest in the last few days, according to brokers who facilitate investments in the US-listed entities.

"I will prefer to buy stocks in energy, capital good space, particularly since we see infrastructure spending increasing in this country. Since the market is at 18,000, nothing is cheap at these levels. But if I have to look at the relative valuations, then these are the pockets which will give phenomenal opportunity."

"Many critics think India (and the world) have too many billionaires and want to reduce the number to check wealth disparities. I would go in the opposite direction, creating thousands of new crorepatis year after year. That too will reduce disparities."
